How to Get Approved for a Virginia Medical Marijuana Card
If you have previously been diagnosed with a qualifying condition, or believe you currently suffer from one, you are most-come into the office so we can review your condition(s) and if appropriate, recommend marijuana as part of your treatment plan. It is always helpful for the doctor to have access to your medical records, if available.
If we are is able to confirm your qualifying condition, and believes medical marijuana is an appropriate treatment option, you will receive a signed certification from the HRWC recommending medical marijuana and or medical marijuana products as part of your treatment plan. This signed recommendation will then be submitted to the Virginia Department of Health Professions along with a $50 registration fee.
The State will process both the recommendation and fee within 7-10 business days, you will be added to the patient registry and receive your Virginia Medical Marijuana Identification card via the mail. At HRWC, we take care of submitting your application to the Virginia Department of Health Professions to make the process as easy as possible for you and will stick with you every step of the way until you have received your Virginia Medical Marijuana Card and beyond.

A certified member of HRWC signs the recommendation, with the aid of our support staff, will then be submitted to the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
